TalentSmart: online talent pools

We recognise that there may be instances whereby candidates are not suitable for the role they have applied for, and also that you may experience many good candidates applying for a limited number of positions. That is why we provide all our clients with the option of a Talent Pool – Capita Resourcing’s TalentSmart. The Talent Pool is exclusive to the client, and allows you to identify suitable candidates that have previously applied for roles, and whom may be more appropriate for other roles within your organisation. We will fully manage this database of applicants, whom can be searched as and when future vacancies within your organisation arise.

The Talent Pool will consist of candidates who have passed through the application process and were deemed inappropriate for the current positions, but have expressed an interest in being considered for future roles. You will be able to access the Talent Pool at any time, to see whether suitable candidates are available for roles as they arise.

Searching the Talent Pool

It is possible to incorporate a search function in to the Talent Pool, allowing you to identify suitable candidates using key criteria. These searches can be saved and run on a regular basis, which may be useful for separate divisions within your organisation that may not be aware of campaigns that are currently running, generating candidates they may require.

Searching the Talent Pool is straightforward, and the method used will depend on the candidate application source. If the candidate has applied through an online application form, the searching can be very specific and based on exact answers to specific questions; for example “Show me all the people who have applied, with over 5 years SAP experience, living in the South East”. If they have applied using a CV, the system allows Boolean search for terms used within the CV. This search facility allows you to quickly identify candidates with exactly the skills and experiences you are looking for, at no extra cost.

Candidate communication

In addition to hosting the Talent Pool, we are able to take responsibility for maintaining regular contact with these candidates via email, text or telephone. This frequent communication allows us to keep abreast of any changes in circumstances, and inform candidates of up coming vacancies they may be interested in. We will ensure that any candidate who no longer wishes to be considered for future roles is removed from the system, allowing the Talent Pool to remain accurate and up to date at all times.

Having your own, exclusive Talent Pool can reduce the costs of future advertising, one of the greatest expenditures when running a recruitment campaign. TalentSmart can be used as the first candidate source prior to posting the vacancy on an Intranet or externally, allowing shorter recruiting timelines due to the pool of candidates already accumulated. It enables you to select from a pool of potentially pre-qualified candidates rather than having to run a full-scale advertising campaign each time you recruit, thus potentially reducing cost per hire. Data Protection

We have rigorous procedures in place to ensure that we protect the integrity of the data that we have about our candidates. Capita Resourcing complies fully with the Data Protection Act; our Data Protection registration number is Z9109167. We explain to candidates what their information will be used for and state that it will not be used for other means.
