Technical Architect

Technical Architect.

My large Energy company requires a Technical Architect to analyse current solutions in use, identify prospective supplier options and assess capabilities and strategic fit with NNB's Architecture Framework and EDF Energy's strategy and roadmaps to work with the Business Analyst and Project Manager to identify the best solution to meet the business requirements. We need skilled resources with experience in large scale construction projects who can face up to the business with excellent technical knowledge and skills in solution architecture.

Deliverables for each project include:

• Delivery of High Level Architecture documentation
• Delivery of the Technical Architecture Design
• Delivery of physical design documentation as appropriate
• Overview and QA of the solution build
• Support of solution testing

Brief Description of Project Key experience:

• Expert, suitably qualified Technical Architect
• Experience of the full project lifecycle and of designing and delivering excellent technical solutions
• Demonstrable experience of producing clear architectural artefacts at all levels from High Level to Physical Design including both written and diagrammatical documentation
• Familiar with the technologies within the EDF Energy environment - Unix, AIX, Oracle, Citrix, Windows, Java and web technologies
• Familiar with large scale database design and optimisation
• Capable of interpreting business requirements and selecting an appropriate technical solution which is efficient, supportable, cost effective and aligned to NNB's architectural strategy
• Proven ability to drive issue resolution across a disparate technical community
• Stakeholder management at all levels with experience of explaining complex technical solution to non-technical stakeholders
• Knowledge of Nuclear regulatory (esp. Information Security) or similar high security conditions
• Excellent experience of delivering projects to a large scale Construction environment
• Experience of working within an appropriate framework or methodology - TOGAF or similar
