Project Support Officer

Project Support Officer required for UK Leading FTSE 100 Organisation based in Chippenham.

We are looking for a project support professional with experience of managing a team of project managers.

As part of the Project Support Group (PSG), the successful candidate has responsibility for supporting the planning, monitoring and control activities for Programmes or Projects governed by the Head of Project Management.

This role will help ensure Projects are run to consistent high standards of reliability and efficiency through governing effective use of standards, tools and templates as defined by the Project Support Group.

Working within the Project Support Group this role will provide project planning, , problem solving, administration and support to Projects running within any of the groups below:

•Product Development - significant research and development (R&D) technology projects
•Product Delivery Projects - implementation and handover of new and existing products
•In-Life Projects - significant upgrade and technology refresh of existing, in service products
•Transition and Transformation Projects - external, service transition and business process re-engineering (BPR)
•Business Change Projects - internal, change and acquisition transition

The successful candidate will be degree educated (or equivalent working experience) and have considerable experience running medium sized externally facing customer Projects (and ideally experience managing project managers). You will have experience of change management, risk management and implementing process improvement.

Candidates who have experience of successfully delivering medium scale Projects (>£5m in value) will be considered highly desirable.

Desirable Skills:

IPMA Level C or equivalent experience
ITIL Foundation
