A PMO Manager is required by a leading Healthcare client in London for a 12 month Fixed Term contract to Manage the collation and distribution of portfolio plans, reports and analyses of the portfolio of projects to which GTIS are contributing,

Accountabilities:

• Manage the investigation into projects that vary from the agreed application of the GTIS Project & Portfolio Management (GPPM) methodology, seeking clarification or rectification of anomalies;

• Lead the identification of trends in project delivery and work with the GTIS Portfolio Managers to improve project delivery across portfolio

• Own the business-wide and local systems that support the GPPM methodology.

• Manage the team of advisers to the GTIS Portfolio Managers and Project Managers on the GPPM methodology governance requirements:

• Ensure good working relationships with GTIS stakeholders, including Head of Projects, Portfolio Managers and Project Managers.

• Manage the collation and analysis of project and portfolio information as required by the GTIS delivery portfolio stakeholders

• Ensure that GTIS project deliverables and controls are completed in accordance with the requirements of GPPM methodology

• Lead the review and analysis of significant volumes of data so as to identify methodology compliance anomalies and seek clarification or ensure rectification
  • Provide excellent leadership and working environment to PMO staff ensuring high standards and staff development.


• Manage the team of advisers to the GTIS Portfolio Managers and Project Managers on the GPPM methodology governance requirements:

Skills Required:
  • Previous experience of working in a Programme / Project Management Office or a large programme environment preferably at a senior level
  • Full understanding of GPPM methodology, and solutions to resolve typical problems associated with the implementation of IS projects.
  • Ideally attained project management / support qualification (e.g. ISEB PPSO, APM / PRINCE2).
  • Must be well organised, work to deadlines and be analytical. Can demonstrate the ability to think strategically and be proactive in understanding when to push issues to achieve a desired outcome,
  • Experience in dealing with multiple projects and a general understanding of programme management.
  • Good understanding of finance procedures, in particular awareness of Capital & Revenue.
  • Staff management experience
  • Experience of dealing with resources of all levels of seniority, up to Director level.
  • Excellent influencing skills
  • Occasional travel to Staines
