This London based charity is looking to recruit a Head of Service Development and Programmes, to work closely with the Head of Service Development. This position will be to lead the programme management of the interrelated projects that will reshape the role of the charity in the changing NHS market.
The Head of Service Development will be responsible for managing the change programme required to integrate and optimise the new and existing skills within the Service Development team by developing and implementing effective plans and management processes. They will also act as the senior representative on initiatives or projects, interacting with the NHS at a senior level on behalf of the Head of Service Development and the Director of Nursing and Patient Services.
Duties:
To work with colleagues and external stakeholders to ensure that our development work supports the strategic repositioning in the NHS market
Lead the development of a the programme plan mapping major caring services developments
Supporting the development of the Caring Services Strategy
Work with the Service Development Manager and other management team colleagues to ensure that targeting of new business is integrated in wider regional plans
Regularly monitor and review national and regional plans.
Manage the Service Development Change Programme and ensure effective management of the wider Caring Service programme
Candidates applying will be educated to degree level or have the relevant experience. Ability to rapidly acquire relevant experience of pitching, developing and securing funding for healthcare services is essential together with excellent knowledge of core methods e.g. programme management, business case development, risk and change management. A track record of leading significant change or redesign programmes together with consulting/advisory work provided in a competitive environment to the NHS/public sector is also required.
