Head of Research and Evaluation

This London based charity is looking to recruit a Head of Research and Evaluation, to work closely with the Director, Education Partnerships.

The Head of Research and Evaluation role will lead the delivery of high quality research and evaluation to underpin the charity's activity. The post holder will lead the research strategy, undertaking economic research to benefit the charity's members and the wider sector, providing market research to support the business development, and managing an evaluation programme to measure the impact of the work.

Duties include:
Lead the research and evaluation programme
Work with external partners, including industry, educators and stakeholders, with a view to furthering the research programme
Lead the research and evaluation programme
Manage the research programme, preparing research briefs, managing procurement processes and negotiating externally funded projects
Deliver research projects, specifically the provision of labour market information and analysis of trends, analysis of national data sets, sector surveys and skills needs analyses
Manage the delivery team, agree targets and manage performance
Lead the publication of research reports, analysis and key findings

Candidates applying will be educated to degree level or have the relevant experience. Experience of quantitative research techniques and their application is essential together with expertise in online surveying, accessing and analysing national data sets. Proven experience in evaluation, monitoring and impact measurement and experience of managing complex research projects and evaluation programmes. Understanding of research practice within academic or commercial environments is also required.
