An RGN is required for this high profile provider of acute hospital at home nursing and physiotherapy services to adult patients. They are an award winning private organization, working under contract with the NHS. Role satisfaction is guaranteed, with a 95% staff retention rate from the last few year's employment history.
The role is community based, delivering acute care with patients in their own homes. In the post, you will undertake patient assessments on hospital sites and provide acute nursing care to patients in their own homes. Further requirements include: to deliver at all times high quality nursing care by assessment, implementation and evaluation of patients' needs. Build and maintain effective relationships with key staff and team members. Maintain accurate documentation at all times adhering to NMC standards. Participate in clinical and organisational audit.
As a community based role (70-80% of the role), drivers are required (with their own car). However, if you like to keep fit and would be able to visit patients by use of a bicycle, then that is more than acceptable.
The right candidate will be RGN 1st level qualified with evidence of continuing professional development. Will have three or more years post registration experience (in the UK), although candidates with less will be considered if they display the right character traits. Essential experience includes: IV treatment / therapy, venepuncture, and experience working on your own and under your own initiative. Further desirable experience includes: community care and/or ITU, A&E and other acute care environments; plus wound care, vac pumps, stoma care and care of diabetics.
