Draughtsperson Location: Chapelcross, South West Scotland (Annan, near Carlisle and Dumfries) Working hours: Monday - Thursday, 8am - 5pm, Friday 8am - 3.30pm Salary: £17.76p.h. Ltd Duration: 9 Months

Our client are seeking a Draughtsperson to provide Design Office assistance in the provision of functional support to Project Managers in the delivery or projects and management of design and records contractors. Competent to produce and modify site record drawings associated with Plant Modification Proposals. You will be responsible for: Assisting with the management of surveyors, design contractors and records contractors. Providing a mechanical design support service to Project Managers, Systems Engineers, Nominated Responsible Engineers and other site personnel. Review of operational feedback reports and initiate appropriate responses. Identify appropriate system needs and propose solutions.

The successful candidate will possess: Broad based knowledge of operation of nuclear sites and of industrial safety/emergency requirements and safety standards. Broad knowledge and guidance for Quality Assurance, the relevant British and European Standards. Lower professional qualification, eg BTEC (typically gained through apprenticeship with demonstrable design office experience. Proficient in the use of AutoCAD software.
