Background
Our Central Government Client are currently looking for an Acceptance into Service Analyst / Service introduction analyst to work on a contact initially through until the end of March 2013. This is an immediate requirement to be based in Central London. Acceptance Into Service is the process by which, throughout the life-cycle of a change programme, the full implications of providing a fully satisfactory and cost effective IT service are considered, planned and implemented. It is best represented by a series of time based checklists that focus on Service Management requirements with recognised review stages within the Project Management methodology
Main Duties/ Responsibilities
● Run conformity checks at key stages throughout the project. ● Assist in shaping Acceptance Into Service best practice and processes. ● Provide Delivery teams with a single point of contact from within Service Management to ensure that service requirements are identified and addressed throughout the project lifecycle. ●To liaise with other parts of service management and its stakeholders to resolve any areas of risk and to provide recommendations and/or escalation. ● Provide the Service Management acceptance requirements and provide assurance in meeting those requirements. ● Raise potential risks/issues associated with projects to Service Management with mitigating plans. ● Ensure that Service Management have an effective mechanism for bringing new or amended services into the production environment. ● Ensure projects/work packages are suitably designed for Service Management. ● Through a series of meetings with Department ICT Subject Matter Experts ensure their live support requirements are identified and met. ● Collate checklist responses and produce a handover report containing risks, issues, recommendations and observations for the Senior Management team. ● Represent Service Management and their interests at Project and Programme boards.
Skills/ Experience Required
ESSENTIAL •Experience of managing suppliers in a multi-supplier environment •Must have experience of Acceptance into Service / Service introduction •Have sound practical experience of Service Management and Assurance functions. •Ability to promote joint working and shared ideals •Experience of stakeholder engagement •Must be able to work effectively in a team environment
