At Capita we understand the importance of having high quality staff. That’s why we have a dedicated team within each office responsible for recruiting nursery nurses and nursery assistants.
Nursery Nurses will have completed a CACHE, BTEC or NVQ Level 3 or if overseas-trained, an equivalent and recognised qualification from their home country.
As candidates are available for same day cover, short & long-term, part-time and even permanent positions, we can offer a flexible solution to all your staffing needs.

We understand how stressful it is to discover first thing in the morning that you need emergency cover and that's why our offices are fully staffed by 7.15am. We’re committed to sending suitably experienced nursery nurses and classroom assistants who will best meet your requirements within one hour of your booking.
One Freephone call is all it takes to solve any staffing problem you may have. Requests can be made at anytime; our offices are open until 5.30pm, after which requests for staff can be left with our booking service. The request will be collected and processed at 7.15am the following morning.
The recruitment process
Capita Education Resourcing aims to ensure the well being of all children and staff. Before our candidates are deployed on any assignment they have already completed a rigorous vetting process, which is summarised as:

- Qualification check
- CRB Enhanced Disclosure check
- List 99 check
- Health check

- Permission to Work
Training and support
Our nursery nurses and nursery assistants arrive well prepared. All Capita staff are inducted on how to meet the challenges of supply work. You can expect them to arrive promptly and be flexible to adapt and cope with the needs of your nursery.
At Capita we are also committed to ensuring that all candidates have access to appropriate Continuing Professional Development (CPD) opportunities. We understand that the effectiveness of all candidates is enhanced by knowledge building, training and mentoring, supported by professional resources and materials.
Candidates are informed regularly about CPD seminars and are encouraged to attend. They can also access the resource libraries in their local branch where topical and relevant material is available, together with web access and other support resources.
