What you will need to do
1. Complete the application & medical form. Don’t forget to include:
- A brief CV (no more than 2 pages).
- Details of two teaching referees with comprehensive contact details. Written references are an advantage. All written references must include the School or College stamp and must not be older than two years.
- Original certified copies of all relevant qualifications (faxed copy not acceptable)
- Original certified copy of your passport (photo and validation page).
2. Apply for your Police Clearance Certificate and send an original certified copy of your certificate to your local Capita office as soon as it is received.
3. If you do not hold a British passport, please send a copy of your work visa as soon as it is received.
4. Request a letter of recommendation from your bank to take to London.
This will simplify the process of opening an account.
5. You should undertake research into living and working in the United Kingdom so that you
arrive with an informed decision about where you’d like to live.
6. It is advisable to have a file of lessons/activities that can be used when you have an assignment in which there is no set work. It is not advisable to take resources such as textbooks, curriculum documents etc., as these are available at the schools/childcare centres
7. You may wish to familiarise yourself with curriculum information. Relevant literature is available in all of the Capita offices.
What Capita will do
