Overview :
Our Client is looking for a dynamic individual to fill the temporary, full time vacancy of Learning Support Assistant with disengaged/disaffected students at a College based in East London, starting September. You will have a relevant qualification, Special Educational Needs experience and excellent communication skills, along with the ability to "hit the ground running.
Main Duties:
You will assist in delivery of subject learning materials to the learners, and carry the necessary lesson preparation and planning. You will maintain student discipline in compliance with the College's Disciplinary Code. You will carry out duties at all times in accordance with the College's equal opportunities and health and safety procedures.
Key Skills:
Ideally the suitable candidate will have a Teaching qualification (or ability to obtain Certificate in Education within two years) A Degree or equivalent and/or relevant vocational/professional experience Previous UK Teaching/lecturing experience or significant vocational experience required
