Data Analyst Jobs
The main areas of responsibility for data analyst jobs are in the inspecting, cleaning, transforming and modelling of data. Depending on the seniority of the role it may also include managing a team of people and other responsibilities in an IT department. The information they work with can be from any department and will be utilised to improve practices and evaluate risk.
The job requires someone with a highly analytical and mathematical mind, who enjoys working with data and spotting patterns. Problems may arise with data sources, working with different packages or legacy databases. Competence on various BI packages and the relevant computer software is an advantage. Good communication skills are essential, as some roles will involve dealing with questions and queries from the end user.
