CRVS has a five stage CR process. Our method is to recommend streamlining the service by ensuring all applications are sent to one central point within your organisation in order to increase efficiency and response time. For more information please contact us. Stage one It is recommended that you nominate two senior representatives within your organisation to liaise with CRVS on all matters relating to the disclosure process. CRVS will then respond to requests for Disclosure checks, registering the client and or applicant on our bespoke administration software, the Disclosure Application System (DAS) and will then issue a Disclosure Pack. Stage two Disclosure Pack includes a Disclosure Guide, Application Forms and other relevant material to support the completion of the Disclosure Application Form. Stage three The applicant completes the Disclosure Application Form and the client delivers the important Face to Face identity check.
- The nominated person needs to explain to the applicant that the CRB / DS Disclosure is part of a vetting procedure to assess suitability and explain to the applicant the CRB / DS Standard / Enhanced show all spent and unspent caution and convictions. Disclosure Scotland Basic Disclosure will show only unspent convictions.
- The nominated person needs to ensure that the applicant has completed all sections on the form and that they have completed it correctly.
- The nominated person completes the face to face check of the applicant and ensures that all relevant identification sections are completed.
The next stage is to return the form to CRVS. Stage four CRVS verify the completed form and submit to the CRB / DS. Any forms not completed to the standard required or with insufficient information will be addressed with the nominated person before submitting to the CRB / DS. Stage five CRVS liaise with the CRB / DS and take receipt of the returned Disclosure. The Disclosure is returned to the client with guidance on appropriate storage, handling and destruction within CRB / DS guidelines. Contact us for more information and to discuss your requirements
