Credit History

“One in 10 of Glasgow's financial call centres has been infiltrated by criminal gangs. Criminals plant staff inside offices or force current employees to provide sensitive customer information which is used to steal identities and fraudulently set up accounts or transfer money.”

- Police Data

CRVS will gather credit history reports for applicants that can affect the company financially. This necessarily includes all employees in FSA controlled functions and employees in accounting functions but may also include other employees that may, for example, be entrusted with corporate credit cards. The report contains CCJs, bankruptcies and other pertinent information to help you determine your applicant's responsibility level.

“As sick leave costs UK businesses an estimated £12.2bn per years, employers are being urged to take steps to reduce absence in the workplace.”

- Confederation of British Industry (CBI).

By ensuring new staff are not bringing serious health problems into your organisation, which may affect their ability to carry out their jobs, you gain a significant improvement in the health and attendance of your workforce.

You may choose to test candidates at a senior level more thoroughly to reflect your investment in their recruitment and their value to your company. We can offer executive pre-employment screening tailor-made for your requirements.

Right to Work

CRVS will seek information to confirm that your applicant has the right to remain and to work in this country. New regulations ensuring job applicants have the right to work in the UK were implemented in May 2004. These rules tighten the existing procedure that has to be followed under Section 8 of the Asylum & Immigration Act 1996 to prevent the employment of illegal workers, making it a criminal offence to employ anyone who does not have the right to work legally in the UK.

Media Search

Powerful database software is used to conduct a full search to see if your applicant has been mentioned in newspapers or other media during the past several years. This search will also identify journalists who may be posing as applicants in order to gain access to your organization.

Companies House Search

Any directorships your applicant has held will be listed and verified where applicable. CRVS will also verify if your applicant has ever had liability for a limited company.

Bank of England Sanctions

Applicants can be checked against the Bank of England sanctions database. The database holds information on any groups or individuals that are either on Government black lists or have been convicted on money laundering or other serious organised crime offences.
